Your role
Are you a passionate and entrepreneurial PHP developer with experience in the Laravel framework? As a PHP developer, you’ll join an ambitious and growing tech team of 7 people based in the heart of Rotterdam, where collaboration and quality come first. You’ll work on new features for our high-traffic platforms and aren’t afraid to speak up. You take pride in writing clean, well-structured code, and you challenge your teammates to push for perfection.

Backend Development for Performance
Design, develop, and maintain high traffic websites and backend features, built for speed, scale, and reliability.

System Optimization & Scaling
Continuously improve and scale internal tools, management systems, and tracking platforms to support our growing operations.

Cross-Team Collaboration
Partner with data analysts, media buyers, and creative teams to build tools that enhance decision-making, automation, and execution across departments.

Clean & Secure Coding
Write well-structured, testable, and secure PHP code using the Laravel framework, following best practices for long-term maintainability.

Architectural & Workflow Improvements
Contribute to system architecture discussions and help evolve our tech stack, CI/CD pipelines, and overall development workflow.

Code Quality & Peer Review
Participate in collaborative code reviews, share feedback, and help maintain clean, scalable code that performs in production.
What you bring

Your qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (HBO) or equivalent working and thinking level.
At least 5 years of professional experience as a PHP developer.
Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (including jQuery), and HTML5.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with the Laravel framework.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Experience with writing unit and integration tests.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills in Dutch or English, both written and spoken.
